In the UK’s competitive utility market ESB Energy provides power to more than 100,000 homes each day and is seen as a disruptor brand. Having reached a stage of maturity with various products and customer bases, the company had three websites they needed to consolidate into one. One particular challenge was that this new digital solution had to cater for B2B, B2C and Electric Vehicle (EV) customers. So while the recently-refreshed brand had to remain the same across customer types, the design system needed to support a distinct visual expression and tone of voice for the different user groups. In order to realise this opportunity, WONDR created a 360° digital experience that engaged, educated, converted and empowered consumers. Setting ESB Energy as a digital-first experience allowed the business to do so in a cost-effective and innovative manner.
