About The Entry
In two years, India Giving Day had grown from $1.4 million raised to nearly $8.8 million. That trajectory was remarkable. But trajectory alone doesn't build movements. Now in its fourth year, India Giving Day 2026 faced a different kind of challenge, not simply to sustain momentum, but to deepen it. To shift the Indian American diaspora's sense of self from generous individuals to a unified philanthropic force. The India Philanthropy Alliance, in partnership with agency Gutenberg, set out to do exactly that. The campaign theme, #PowerOfUs, one movement, countless lives touched, captured the ambition precisely. Every gift rallies the community. Every donor accelerates the real change. There is no bystander. Three objectives drove the work. First, to drive meaningful donor acquisition and revenue through indiagivingday.org on and around March 13, 2026, the designated giving day. Second, to expand awareness among new audiences, particularly first-time donors within the diaspora and India-focused nonprofits seeking to connect with U.S.-based supporters. Third, to grow India Philanthropy Alliance's owned digital presence across LinkedIn, Meta, and beyond, building an engaged community that would carry the movement past a single day. The diaspora had already demonstrated its willingness to give at scale. What #PowerOfUs offered was a frame: a reason to give it together. The campaign's task was to translate that emotional truth into a structured, multi-platform effort capable of reaching millions of impressions, converting engaged visitors into donors, and proving that collective action is measurable, not just a tagline.
