THE ARK

THE ARK is an original musical written by E. A. Messenger and Jim Schmitt, that was performed at The Avyarium in Rochester, NY as part of the Key Bank Rochester Fringe Festival in September 2019. The video is of this performance featuring 13 actors singing, dancing and creating the dramatic presentation of Noah and his family as they share their experiences, hopes, dreams, heartache, and faith while stranded aboard the Ark. Songs featured in the 40 minute musical include: “Where Are The Birds?”, “Ain’t It A Pain?”, “Evil Fell”, “Oh, Mrs”, “Shepherd Of The Sea”, “The Wonder Of Water”, “There’s A New World Coming”, “In My Youth”, “Field Of Dreams” and “A New Day Dawning”. THE ARK is a delightful re-telling of the famous Old Testament story, told through the eyes of Noah’s granddaughter, Shebee, and her cousin Gomer. Brian Swereda has created a masterful video that captures the heart, essence and talent of all involved.
