Batman: Casefiles

Batman: Casefiles is a fan-made, non-profit audio drama inspired by the DC Universe, created through the collaboration of a fully volunteer cast and crew. The series follows Batman as he recounts pivotal investigations and defining moments from throughout his career, presenting Gotham’s stories through a reflective, noir-inspired lens. Combining cinematic narration, immersive sound design, and character-driven performances, the production aims to bring the emotional weight and scale of the Batman mythos into an audio-first storytelling format. Planned as a ten-episode series, Batman: Casefiles explores both iconic heroes and villains across interconnected storylines designed for modern digital audiences. Episode 1 is currently available on YouTube and establishes the tone, world-building, and dramatic foundation for the larger narrative arc. The project was created under the leadership of Drake Miller, who serves as the series’ primary director as well as writer and editor for the production. Cliff Jones voices the title role of Batman/Bruce Wayne and also contributes as a secondary director for the series, helping guide performance consistency and character development throughout production. Kay Ford contributed to the project across multiple creative disciplines, including voice acting, directing, and casting. As a performer, she portrays several characters throughout the series, including District Attorney Janice Porter, Catwoman/Selina Kyle, Batgirl/Barbara Gordon, Poison Ivy/Pamela Isley, and Hawkgirl, demonstrating versatility across dramatically different personalities and vocal styles. In addition to her performance work, Kay also served as a secondary casting director and director for multiple characters appearing throughout the series. Her directing and casting contributions include Alfred Pennyworth, Alberto Falcone, Aqualad/Garth, and Jason Todd/Robin, supporting both the collaborative creative process and the overall performance quality of the production. Created entirely as a passion project without commercial backing, Batman: Casefiles highlights the creative ambition and production value achievable through independent volunteer storytelling, while celebrating the enduring impact of character-driven audio drama.
