The Camden Shipyard & Maritime Museum approached Night Kitchen Interactive seeking an engaging way to tell the tale of The New York Shipbuilding company, based in Camden. Building off our initial installation of a half-dome immersive theater, we created In Peace as in War, an immersive 360 video that traces the legacy of New York Ship from its founding and the production of iconic vessels, to its transformation into the community-focused museum it is today. The video is the latest addition to a series of educational videos that visitors can watch on the museum's Shipbuilding History Theater produced by Night Kitchen. In Peace as in War blends archival footage with high-quality digital renders, using our in-house 3D capabilities and our partnership with World of Warships developer Wargaming to tell the stories of Camden's most iconic ships. Traveling from the Delaware River all the way to Pearl Harbor and Guadalcanal, Camden-built ships have kept America safe. This explosive documentary helps the museum to reel in younger audiences with flashy visuals set against hard-hitting history in a format perfect for school groups or families. This new addition builds on our ongoing collaboration with the museum to create dynamic, flexible, and group-friendly exhibits that support both historical interpretation and vocational education. Ships produced at the Camden Shipyard were essential to America whether during peacetime or at war, and this video ensures future generations of museum visitors recognize that legacy.
