The video was designed to unveil and amplify the launch of Sanctuary AI’s sixth-generation general-purpose robot, Phoenix™, and its accompanying AI-control system Carbon™. In a crowded AI and robotics landscape filled with boisterous hype and product renderings that may never materialize, Sanctuary AI sought to break through that noise by showcasing its demonstrable progress via highly visual—and truthful—storytelling. In addition to showcasing the new general-purpose robot systems and how it pushes the company closer to their mission of creating the world’s first human-like intelligence in general-purpose robots, the Sanctuary AI team aimed to show, not tell, by developing high-quality visuals and footage of real Phoenix robots. The video was a key component of a wider communications strategy to ensure the announcement reached the company’s various key audiences and stakeholders. The collective team spent several months preparing in order to execute with precision, and the video was pivotal in securing more than 25 pieces of earned media coverage in publications like BBC News, GeekWire, IEEE, Newsweek, and TechCrunch, garnering more than 300k views so far.
