In 2022, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee launched its premier health insurance plan, AmplifyHealth. AmplifyHealth offers next level guidance that’s truly predictive, proactive, and personalized to the individual. Through a dedicated AmplifyHealth Advisor customer service team, a custom AmplifyHealth app, and personalized outreach communications, we engage our members sooner, guiding them toward better, more affordable health care. A consistent design aesthetic across all touch points delivers a well-coordinated and signature experience for members.

AmplifyHealth Advisors and the AmplifyHealth App Work Together

Through an intuitive and simplified experience, we make it easy for our members to access their health insurance and get the care they need when they need it most. The AmplifyHealth app home screen prominently features advisors, providing 24/7 support and guidance. When seeking care, members are guided to effective, lower cost options based on their actions in the app. When estimating costs for select, high-cost surgeries, they’re prompted to reach out to an Advisor for help, such as, prior authorization help and scheduling appointments.

Within the app, members have quick and easy access to key plan information:

• Benefits, coverage, and health programs

• Find care and cost estimator tools

• Digital ID card

• BlueCross communication Document Center

• Recent claims details

• Nearby providers in their network

Key features and functionality elevate our app experience through:

• Facial recognition and touch ID login

• ID card sharing with Apple wallet and SMS/Email

• Payments to providers in app

• Secure self service access to accounts

• Communications preferences (email, text, call, chat)

• Live chat experience with an advisor

• Appointment scheduling with Blue of TN providers

• Pre-stratification in chronic conditions with care coordination

• Gaps in care closures

Although we’ve just launched the plan, we’ve seen a positive response. The AmplifyHealth app store ratings, NPS, and overall member feedback are already exceeding our standard BCBSTN app experience.
