HIGH ENERGY HAZARD & SAFETY TRAINING

In response to a California Public Utilities Commissions (CPUC) mandate

requiring the capture of data related to potential serious or fatal injuries and close

calls, SoCalGas required a blended learning program that educated over 9k field workers on types of incidents and how to avoid them, as well as supervisors on how to recognize and report those incidents.

Evolve Solutions Group, in collaboration with The Select Group custom designed and developed a three (3) module curriculum and comprehensive quiz that provided critical awareness and advanced compliance and reporting information in an elearning format with branching scenario simulations replicating typical incidents that qualified under the CPUC mandate.

The Awareness module introduces new concepts through a branching scenario where learners explore all possible outcomes of a high energy incident.

The Exploration module demonstrates through scenarios each type of high energy hazard typical to SoCalGas field environments, including safety measures; made available to all employees.

The Advanced Awareness module provides Field Supervisors with

information needed to identify incidents and report in compliance with CPUC. Supervisors can explore in a software simulation what will be asked of them when reporting an incident.
