Mod Op partnered with Genius and their brand partner, Instagram on a fully custom microsite that would serve as a hub for Instagram’s Yours to Make campaign. The campaign invites young people to use Instagram as a platform for discovery, and a place to show the world their creativity.
Instagram and Genius partnered with three emerging musical artists, Isaiah Rashad, Don Toliver, and Shenseea and asked them to create Instagram Reels based on three topics: lyricism, vision/style, and sound. The resulting content illustrates the ways our cultural backgrounds and identities impact our art, and the people we become.
We created a microsite that would let the artists and their work shine, while enticing users to return repeatedly for fresh content. The site features eye-catching micro-animations, seamless links back to the artists individual Instagram accounts, and a custom-programmed timer mechanism that triggered the release of new content from each artist as it happened, keeping the site fresh and filled with new things for users to explore.
