The unnecessary construction of an intrusive aerial gondola (aka cable car) is threatening some of Los Angeles's most cherished and vibrant communities. Former Los Angeles Dodgers owner, Frank McCourt, wants to build a gondola between Union Station and Dodger Stadium that could cost a whopping $300 million. Without any real community input and oversight, we were tasked with creating this website to raise public awareness, increase education, and inspire activism.
Mobile responsive and translated into both Spanish and Chinese, StopTheGondola.org houses all relevant resources and information tied to the campaign effort of keeping people informed and called to action. The website also features links to campaign mentions from across print and digital publications (LA Times, Curbed, Reddit and other social media), to demonstrate the ongoing conversation to stop the scam. Additionally, the website includes a form entry field that provides interested parties with the opportunity to get more involved.
