THE STORY BEHIND THE KIDS BANKING APP For centuries, we haven't forced children to use the same stuff as adults, but unfortunately, finance still discriminates against children. Most banks do not have special products suitable for children, while the apps already available on the market struggle to serve the real problems families face regarding financial literacy. A BANKING APP THAT SPEAKS THE KID'S LANGUAGE Adults struggle to manage their finances, but they want to see their kids grow up as successful people with good financial habits. At the same time, half of the parents don't know how to discuss finances with kids in an understandable and enjoyable way, besides, this leads to conflicts that ruin family relationships. What if an app could help parents ensure their kids' financial future? UXDA challenged themselves to rethink financial services… make them "speak" the kids' language. This is our vision of kid's banking that prepares children for the digital economy, takes care of their future and helps parents. As a result - a vital banking app concept was born that offers support to families worldwide, combining the elements of game, joy, fun and finance. It took a year to craft this research-based kids' banking app concept that actualizes the financial discrimination against children. It's a single app with a huge impact: - It speaks the kids language, educating them about financial literacy; - Prevents fights about money matters and improves family relationships; - Creates a good foundation for kids' financial futures, and - Ensures a successful inclusion of children in the modern digital economy. THE DESIGN: STEPPING INTO THE SHOES OF CHILDREN The goal of the design was to add joy, excitement and friendliness to banking, encouraging kids to let their eyes shine while using the app. We needed to integrate a visual language that is understandable for kids, create an association that finances are like a game that evokes positive emotions.
