King Township Public Library Website Redesign & Development

The King Township Library is an important resource for the 26, 000 people that reside in the Township of King. Upanup redesigned and developed the King Township Public library website, and successfully launched it February of 2021. We created a clean, user-friendly and fun website for the Library that would attract both kids and adults. The children's section includes animated GIFs, large icons and book cover images to engage kids of all ages. We also incorporated a calendar that syncs with the municipal site to provide users with up to date information and to create internal efficiencies. We incorporated their catalogue system into the site to improve the user’s experience and to ensure there was a digital system in place that would reduce the staff's time spent on certain tasks. Users have the ability to either search the catalogue or the website to more quickly effectively find the information they are looking for. Their new website features their bright brand colours, is easy to navigate and has a variety of back-end and front-end accessibility features such as high contrast buttons and an integrated Browse Aloud tool. This library website is a valued tool for the community that will encourage kids and parents to make connections and enjoy the many resources the King Township library has to offer.
