Steer Clear Safe Driver Program 2021

Our Steer Clear® Safe Driver program offers driving-focused training and feedback in real-time. The program is designed to promote safe, defensive driving habits and confidence in young drivers in a fun, innovative fashion.

We’ve made our program easily accessible to drivers at any time day or night through latest technology platforms including the mobile app or online through a web page. Upon registration on the mobile app, they complete a series of animated videos teaching relevant topics such as distracted driving and situational driving scenarios designed to educate them on good driving practices.

As drivers take to the road, they receive real-time scores and feedback personalized to their skills such as braking, acceleration and cornering. Plus, an intuitive dashboard helps keep drivers up to date with tracking features focused on drive times, drive scores and module progress. A trip summary feature provides easy access to things like driver trip alerts and routes, while a mentor dashboard encourages family and friends involvement.

As drivers improve their skills, achievements are awarded with badges for top driving scores and completion certificates. While this program is available to all qualifying drivers under age 25, State Farm customers can text, email, or drop the certificate by their SF agent's office to receive credit and earn discounts! It’s that simple!!

And it’s working! In 2020, 192K customers downloaded the app to receive this learning opportunity and this displayed a 25% increase from the year before. Through educating our young drivers, we all win with safer commutes and communities.
