Nudgee College provided a unique and creative alternative to its traditional Open Day experience by allowing the online community to access a student-led tour that used the combination of live-action performance and 2D animation to give an accurate, exciting, yet comical take on an educational process for prospective parents and carers. Designed to combat the absent of actual students in the school at time of CoVid, the creative combination of image and still insertion (using parallax effects), together with the marriage of chromo-key recording of the presenter with live props, pre-shot classroom and location imagery, and scripted additions of cinematic capture allowed the 'school tour' experience to be executed in an engaging, unique and genuine way that has since been awarded a 'Hermes Platinum Trophy' for the school. The resulting metrics meant the campaign - driven by Tara Shipperely of Nudgee College - generated previously unseen diagnostic views, registrations and interest in the school for day and boarding positions. The reach of the concept extended beyond domestic audiences, with engagement achieved throughout Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
