Yampa River Botanic Park strives to cultivate a place of serenity that’s free for all. Located at 6,800 feet above sea level in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, the park brings the community together to connect with and learn about the wonders of nature. Yampa River Botanic Park’s new website features a fully custom design using our CodeGeek theme. The site design supports the unique, serene character of the organization with the additional goal of making the site easy to use for multiple key audiences. Most importantly, this website was built from scratch to be WCAG 2.2 conformant at the time of launch as well as compliant with Colorado’s new web accessibility legislation. Additionally, the calendar functionality was coded internally by CodeGeek and is fully accessible, unlike most calendar plugins currently on the market—helping make Yampa River Botanic Park’s website as accessible as possible for the more than 35,000 people who visit the park each year.
