Toronto Film School’s partnership with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) reached new heights in 2024, marking a landmark year in the school’s ongoing commitment to shaping the next generation of filmmakers. As an official partner of TIFF, TFS provided our students and alumni with unprecedented access to one of the world’s largest film festivals. Highlights included the sponsorship of the TIFF Festival Street Art Market, which showcased local arts and film organizations, and the unveiling of the TFS Cinema installation—a mini outdoor theatre that screened student short films to festival-goers. The partnership also offered TFS students exclusive opportunities such as Industry Conference access, press screenings, and networking events. Furthermore, TFS’s influence was evident on-screen, with several alumni and faculty contributing to TIFF’s 2024 lineup, underscoring the school’s integral role in shaping the Canadian film industry.
