This was senior day for Marshall Football as the Thundering Herd recognized 22 seniors. It was just the second meeting between Marshall and ULM and the first meeting at the FBS Level. Marshall was coming off a hard-fought victory over Georgia State and aimed to defeat a ULM team that upset Marshall back in 1897 in the NCAA 1-AA Championship game. Sean Kelly and Ben Anderson was on the call for the game.
