Break The Stars

Neural DSP approached me to create a piece of music and produce a video to showcase their Quad Cortex device. Although it’s typically used for guitars, they challenged me to test its versatility and push its boundaries. I decided to create a score featuring some unlikely instruments, such as electric cello and electric violin—and it worked! The project was a significant technical challenge, as my team was spread across the globe: Tina in Las Vegas, Barry in Ireland, Rusanda in Vienna, Anna in San Diego, and Sabina and I in Plymouth, UK. Coordinating the videographers to ensure consistent settings and managing remote recordings presented many hurdles, but everything came together smoothly. I even got to plug in and play some guitar myself! The client was thrilled with the final result.
