"Data-Driven Narratives: BLM," innovatively employs data visualization as a storytelling strategy to convey a concise yet powerful narrative surrounding the Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests and the social injustices that fuel them.
This project takes the viewer on a compelling journey through the heart of the BLM movement, using data graphs to unravel complex layers of social injustice. By graphically presenting shooting cases over past decades, we provide a poignant reflection of the persistent challenges faced by the Black community. Each data point serves as a narrative thread, creating a tapestry that unveils the stark reality of systemic issues, fostering a deeper understanding of the urgency behind the protests.
Additionally, our exploration extends to education support for the Black community. Through data visualization, we spotlight both progress and gaps in providing equitable educational opportunities. This visually engaging presentation aims to advocate for change and inspire dialogue on the pivotal role education plays in addressing social inequalities.
