Sitting on the edge of your seat, leaning over to catch a glimpse of what is inside. What do people most anticipate when they look into a crystal ball?
To generate excitement and awareness about the upcoming launch of the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus, a brand new program that offered Ontarians rebates to upgrade the energy efficiency of their homes, we created a digital teaser campaign that leaned into the power of new opportunity.
The campaign featured two creative approaches. The first focussed around a crystal ball—symbolizing the future launch of the program and highlighting all the benefits that would come with it (comfort, savings, rebates). The second creative featured a series of three doors, suggesting the new opportunities that are knocking on your door. What was revealed to be behind the doors? One had a giant piggy bank waiting on the other side (big savings). Another had a rebate cheque flying in on a paper airplane (rebates). The third, a house wrapped in a cozy scarf (comfort).
The digital campaign, which ran for just over three weeks across Ontario on Google and Meta, drove more than 145,000 page views and achieved a high average CTR of 5.56% at a very low cost CPC of $0.34. It also garnered 6,232 soft conversions—sign ups to email newsletter so we could begin a conversation with those interested in the program.
Overall, an auspicious start to the new Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program, which continues to open doors for homeowners across Ontario, offering more comfort and savings, for less.
