In collaboration with YSL Saint Laurent, we created a cutting-edge beauty experience using virtual reality (VR) technology, and launched the project as a pop-up event at the CDF in Sanya, China, targeting Generation Z young consumers.
The pop-up space was designed with a classic black aesthetic and eye-catching neon lights, creating a modern and trendy fashion style that aligns with the YSL brand. Inside, we set up a VR experience area where users could wear a VR headset and use a controller to explore a metaverse beauty space. This transported users instantly to a virtual YSL store where they could immerse themselves in the brand's world, explore the space, and interact with various products.
With the help of VR technology, abstract concepts such as beauty colors, aromas, and rejuvenation and repair effects were transformed into stunning and intuitive visual effects. Users experienced a deep immersion in the YSL world, with the passionate singing of new generation singer Dua Lipa, which subverted their senses in all directions, leading users to break boundaries and appreciate YSL's avant-garde aesthetics, causing a strong emotional resonance.
The project successfully established a complete customer relationship by offering users an exclusive gift activation code that they could redeem for beauty samples in the store. This initiative achieved brand store drainage and helped offline physical consumption recover after the epidemic.
Our project showcases the power of VR technology to create unforgettable and immersive experiences that drive customer engagement and loyalty. We believe that our project is a strong candidate for a digital marketing award due to its innovative use of VR technology and the successful results achieved in establishing customer relationships and driving sales.
