OVERVIEW: This multi-year activation put influencers on the front lines of the U.S. Marines Corps’ Inside The Battle campaign. In this highly challenging and unique activation, five influencers trained alongside active U.S. Marines during a week-long stay at one of the most secure Military bases in the United States – Quantico.
The road to Quantico was a long one as the influencers and IZEA navigated not only a rigorous selection process, background checks, military grade security clearances, but also following a U.S. Marine mental and physical training schedule.
While on base, influencers were put through a series of basic training exercises, including close-quarter combat and live-fire exercises with assault rifles and rocket launchers. While the physical aspect was challenging, the mental fortitude to get through the series of challenges was the main takeaway. The influencers got a taste of the sacrifice, dedication, and most importantly, the rewarding feeling of being part of something larger than themselves through this logistical undertaking.
“This was by far the most life changing experience of my life, my gratitude to the Marines and the military can’t be explained. This was truly an experience I won’t ever forget,” said Warowl, an influencer who participated in the program.
CAMPAIGN PERFORMANCE: In total, 22 pieces of content on Instagram and YouTube were created from the activation with an impressive 32M+ impressions garnered and 110K clicks. The campaign far exceeded established benchmarks by over delivering on clicks by 402% and impressions by 202%.
