3D Screens stand out for its creative and innovative design, and for the use of a new technology, 5D projection, in the world of entertainment.
We worked with two screens that were different sizes and perspectives, 44.22m x 17.4m in London, and a 97.31m by 23.67m in New York. This means that we had to duplicate everything, and create everything based on two different illusion points. Creating an illusion on two different screens was a big challenge. We had to be able to control everything from the environment and the elements in favour of the quality of the illusion; which is due to the use of CG for the entire project, and the quality control of 3D thanks to the tests carried out with VR headsets.
Being in Montreal, we were not able to familiarize with the two places, so we used a 3D scene of the city, filmed using a 3D camera. We created everything in CG. Shortly before installation, we previewed the scenes using VR headsets. Everything had to be duplicated and created based on two illusion points.
