Nobody Should Believe Me is at its heart an awareness campaign designed to bring attention to an underreported and often mischaracterized crime: Munchausen by proxy (MBP). A form of medical child abuse, MBP is a crime in which a caregiver feigns, exaggerates, or induces illness in their child for the purpose of receiving attention and sympathy from medical staff, their family, and the community.
