Welser Visitor-Center

Welser Profile is known worldwide for the production of steel profiles. The family-owned company, which originates from Lower Austria, expanded its Gresten site in the fall of 2021 to include a meeting and training center. In addition to an apprentice training workshop, the new building also offers presentation areas and meeting rooms, all in the guise of a coherently staged brand experience.

Responsive Spaces accompanied the conceptual and design considerations of Welser Profile together with its partner SYMA-System from the very beginning. In the end, several different digital installations were created and developed, which fulfill different tasks and each contribute their part to the new brand experience in Gresten. In particular the following two installations underline the uniqueness of Welser Profile in the global industrial world of steel.

Above the reception area - integrated into the architecture - is an LED surface running around the corner, which presents, among other things, impressive figures from the world of Welser Profile, based on real-time data. Various other variants of the display round off the possibilities of the digital special area. From branded welcome messages for premium customers to the globally popular anamorphic 3D illusions, all possibilities are just a touch away on the control display for Welser Profile.

»Sounds of Welser«

A special highlight awaits visitors in the outdoor area. Responsive Spaces designed and developed an organ consisting of real steel profiles that open up different soundscapes by sheer force of touch. »The product is the hero« is especially expressed in this interactive installation without even revealing the technology.
